Converts Mini Year End Camp December 2011

We hosted our annual Christmas Carols @ Foresight Muldersdrift 2 December 2011
The youth were to meet @ the event and then travel to Bev's farm for the weekend.

We had a few youth who brought their friends along. which was great to see how we were growing, even in the holiday season.

At the farm, we had complete access to seperate rooms for the guys and girls, bathrooms (with hot water!) AND THE KITCHEN...with cold juice, water and ice for the dehidrating teens.

We also had the pool table, the swimming pool and the horses.

That night we were all over the farm house. Most of us never slept and played pool all night through.

Saturday morning we had breakfast, (prepared by helping hands) and then went for a walk on the farm.

After the walk, we were exhausted! We all literally made a run for the swimming pool!
We the had the afternoon to go for a few paintball games and a spin on the 4 wheeler.

At night we went to the top of the farm to sit cosily around a fire and listen to a message from Gerrie. We spent a great time praying for each other, and many have come through after that.

Sunday morning we left early for church, and the sunday school teachers even earlier, for it was the sunday school's concert that morning.
It was a very chaotic but cute concert.

Converts Youth Camp July 2011

Our first youth camp @ Foresight turned out to be an amazing experience.

Gerrie, decided it best for us 30 Converts to go to Tholo Game reserve, 2hours drive from the church (Muldersdrift).
We got together the friday afternoon to start our adventure.

Arriving at camp, we settled and dashed off to the hall were we ate, preached, laughed and introduced ourselves.

The next morning, we got up bright and early, and had a satisfying breakfast.
We spent the whole of saturday playing games, doing bible study and devising plans to prank each other. At one stage, everyone had a few wet spots!

Saturday evening, Gerrie shared a very powerful message with us. Christen also received her gift of speaking in tongues! What a blessing!

Sunday morning, we packed up and left for church. As we got there, we realized how badly smelly we were, of err...

(The girls dorm I was in, had no hot water all weekend. Our bathroom also lacked a door. We used a spare mattress to keep our #1's private, thanx Christen for the idea.)

Sooner than later our weekend was over. After a few nodding off in the church service, I can proudly say the youth was touched by GOD that weekend.

Even if it made us tired ;)

We would also like to thank Pastor Chris and his wife, Suzaan for helping out at the camp, along with Sandy, Flip, Karen, Halinka, Jean, Daniel and Anneke.

They cooked and cleaned for us (aswell as the youth!) and preached and advised etc.

We thank you so much!

Now we await our next camp!
